Blood Orange French Toast

French toast is a great way to make a boring piece of bread and some eggs taste like magic. With a few simple pantry items and some butter for the pan you have a pseudo fancy feast in minutes. Today we had blood orange 
french toast with multigrain Sha Sha Ezekiel bread and it was divine. 
4 slices Ezekiel bread
2 eggs
1/2 blood orange - zest + juice
cane sugar
butter - for pan
PREP: Beat egg with pinch of cinnamon and sugar a splash of blood orange juice + zest. Dip bread in the batter
COOK: warm some butter in heated pan. Fry the bread until golden.
SERVE: with powdered sugar, or maple syrup and sections of blood orange. A great start to a great day!
